Della Bauserman concentrates her practice on tax controversies. Her representation includes Federal and state civil and criminal tax controversy matters and tax litigation, including sensitive tax-related examinations and investigations for individuals, business enterprises, partnerships, limited liability companies, and corporations. Ms. Bauserman also represents clients in tax planning matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Bauserman practiced in the tax and litigation practice areas at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Chicago, Illinois. During law school, Ms. Bauserman was a judicial intern to the Hon. Robert A. Wherry, Jr. at the U.S. Tax Court. Prior to law school, Ms. Bauserman practiced as a CPA in Colorado specializing in various types of tax issues for twelve years at various accounting firms including PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP from 1999 - 2001.
Ms. Bauserman’s civic activities have included volunteer work with Ladder Up in Illinois (2009-2010), Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program in Colorado (1996-2000), providing pro bono representation to various charitable organizations in obtaining their IRC §501(c)(3) status and with various other tax issues (2008 -2011), and teaching a class on tax preparation to Russian immigrants (1998). Ms. Bauserman was awarded Pro Bono Service Awards in 2009 and 2010 for her work at Kirkland & Ellis LLP on behalf of pro bono clients.
Ms. Bauserman was featured as a tax expert on the Tom Martino Show, a nationally syndicated radio program (2002).

Ms. Bauserman taught several classes on international tax issues at PricewaterhousCoopers LLP (2000-2001). Ms. Bauserman taught a class on S Corporations for Crowe Horwath International (2001).
